Lanier Residence

The steeply sloping cul-de-sac lot necessitated having the garage door on the front of the home, but the yellow/orange pivot gate, custom designed with the client, draws the eye to the pedestrian entrance.

The client came back from a trip to Albuquerque with acrylic rods in varying colors and asked how we could incorporate them in her courtyard design. The rods are set loosely in a steel panel and lit by the sun.

The custom-designed mirrors are backlit for nighttime use and have handles on the left to raise and lower them as needed.

‘Rain’ falls from perforations in a copper tube mounted up in the skylight well of this shower.
